|Meet at Phillips 66 in Morrison
If you've never experienced "the road into the sky", you're missing out! This is one of the most scenic drives in the country and is the highest paved road in North America. It's an epic drive, especially with the top down, climbing about 9,000 feet in 23 miles. Host: Ron Richards

About the Event
Formerly known as "Mount Evans", the drive to the top of Mount Blue Sky is a club-favorite. Be prepared for high altitude, exposed switchbacks, and potential wildlife in the road.
MEETUP: Meet at 9:30am at the Phillips 66 in Morrison off of C-470. We will leave at 10:00am sharp. We want to have enough time to enjoy the drive and still get off the mountain no later than mid-afternoon to avoid possible inclement weather. The drive from Morrison to the Welcome Center is about an hour and is a great one too. Lunch details to follow.
IMPORTANT: Be sure to make your own reservation for the "Summit Interpretive Area" (the top) at this site: https://www.recreation.gov/timed-entry/10087438. Choose the 10:00-12:00 entry window. Reservations can be made up to 30 days prior to the travel date. Don't delay in making your reservations as they are limited and no tickets available at the Welcome Center. Print your ticket out ahead of time (or download to your phone) as there is no cell phone signal.
We'll take a leisurely drive up to the top and plan to be off the mountain by mid afternoon. Bring a jacket as it can be very cool up there. And bring a hat/sunblock and plenty to drink to avoid dehydration.
