About the Event
MEET: Approximately 8:45 AM Phillips 66 gas station in Morrison (16283 Morrison Rd)
DRIVER’S MEETING: 9 AM sharp near our parked cars DEPART: By 9:25 AM - at the latest
ROUTE:
- Link to the route on Google Maps
- US 285 South for 22 miles to Pine Valley Rd near Pine.
- Left on Pine Valley Rd (Jeffco 126) South for 25 miles to Deckers
- Right on CO 67 South for 23 miles to Woodland Park City Market for a 30 min pit stop.
- US 24 West 6.8 miles to Divide
- Left/South on HWY 67 for 23 miles to Cripple Creek.
- Continue South on HWY 67 3.3 miles, turn right at Victor Mines, County dirt Rd 87 to Rita the Rock Planter
ARRIVE: About 12:30pm with 1x 30min stop.
RETURN: Cripple Creek for Lunch or those that want to return to town can.
What you will see: Rita for number one, pine trees, rolling hills, sweeping turns with occasional switchbacks, nothing too technical. Open road. And if you look real close an old mine, a great big open pit mine and a nice historic town.
