Tech Day - Skip's Shop

Skip has volunteered to host another tech day!  This is an opportunity to peak under the hood and underneath other member cars, socialize, and maybe even get some light work done.  Other than schmoozing, we will be doing minor installations, repairs, and oil changes, etc.  No large projects like roll bars, turbos or replacement of rusty exhaust systems.  There is a lift in the shop as well as floor jacks, jack stands, and compressed air.

Please email peaktopeakmiata@gmail.com to get on the list of those wanting to have work done.  On the morning of the event the first cars to arrive will get in first, then we will work down the list in the order I receive emails requesting work on their cars.  Everyone is welcome even if no work is being done on your Miata.

Between 10am and 1 PM, Clipper D will also be collecting photos, drive directions, maps, etc. for the digital scrapbook. Bring digital files or whatever other media you may have with the files and he will copy/scan, organize and upload them to our club repositories.  Feel free to e-mail files ahead of time to Clipper at miata2@openplayground.com

Food:  Please bring snacks or other food to share.

Beverages:  Bring your own, no alcoholic beverages.

Cost:  No cost to participate.

Weather:  If it is raining or snowing the event will be postponed or cancelled.  No wet cars are allowed in the shop as there are no drains on the floor and water runs under the work benches.

Directions to the shop:

From I-25: Take exit 235 and go West to CR5 and take a right at Erie High School.  Go North about 1 1/2 miles on CR5 and take a left on Rue de Trust.  There is a center island with a sign reading Parkland Estates Air Park on Rue de Trust. Turn right onto Anne Place, the last street before the stop sign.  The shop is on the corner.  Its OK to park on the weeds, don't block the shop driveway.  We will need access to both shop doors.  Please obey the speed limit signs on Rue de Trust, keep my neighbors happy.

From CO 287:  A couple miles North of Erie go East on Jay Road Take the first right turn off the round about and continue on Jay road, and turn left onto County Line Road.  There is a Conoco Station on that corner.  Go North on County Line Road  and turn Right on CR 10 1/2.  Turn left on CR 3 and 1st right on Rue de Trust.  The shop is on the first corner (Anne Place) on your left.
